Ce qu'il y a derrière l'écorce
(What is behind the bark)
This series of sculptures tries to evoke the concepts of balance, respect, gratitude and compassion which we have advantage in developing. The solidified aspect of glass without any possible evolution, led me to combine glass with plants to create alive sculptures in which the plant becomes a medium of expression as well as glass.
The alive sculptures are a step towards slowness, towards the acceptance of natural rhythm. It is also an invitation to look at what is hidden. Each one of our gestures and decisions have an impact. The respect and the knowledge of what is behind every process is to ensure that this impact is positive or obliges to assume the opposite.
